The people of Connecticut have determined that it is time to introduce marijuana to a long list of problems that they already have. In an attempt to avoid some of the pitfalls that have befallen some of the other states that have been down this road, plans are afoot to tighten the requirements for this drug. As in other states, marijuana will be dispensed to patients who suffer with a variety of medical problems and will not be available without a prescription. Patients that suffer with glaucoma and Sclerosis will be the primary recipients of this drug. While I understand that there are people who suffer with one disease or another and not everyone can handle some of the medications that are prescribed for the disease they may have. One of the issues that I have with legalizing marijuana is the addiction issue, whether we want to admit it or not, as a country we are way past our fill of addicting medications.
