A recent abortion sonogram law on the books in Texas was promptly shot down by the supreme court of the land. The law would force women to have a sonogram and hear a description of the fetus before they decided to terminate the pregnancy. Some have stated that the procedure would be intrusive and unconstitutional, yet they fail to acknowledge that it would actually force the expecting mothers to come to terms with the fact that she was murdering her unborn child. Naturally the law will be making its way through the appeals system, however, we can consider this as one for the books that continues to show how little we care about the rights of that unborn child. If only we could stop the temptations of our unacceptable behavior, we might save the time at the family planning clinic, after all, that seems to be the only thing we are concerned about anymore.
