What does it take to earn a medal of honor

A mind that is full of imagination is one thing, but the definition of honor is when someone does something that both he and his peers can consider as honorable. When men and women sign up for military service there is an honor code that is established among each of them that cannot be broken easily, so anyone choosing to pass themselves off as heroes, when in fact they were just too scared to face a firefight in the first place, should be disgraced in front of everyone they encounter from that point onwards. Having said that, I do not think the United States should be so quick to look for opportunities to incarcerate more of our men and women, telling a lie about a medal of honor is not grounds for jail time, although embarrassment and a disgrace of honor might be just the thing. Nobody should have the right to be named a hero of war, unless they actually did the fighting, it is not like they were going to name a cruise liner or anything and even then they would have to be within certain guidelines.
