A set of pearly whites can make or break our future, especially when it comes to instances like the job that we hold, of the relationships we enter into. Young boys and girls never seem to understand the importance of maintaining a clean and shiny set of teeth, nor do they care at that time. It is likely that the importance of a great set of teeth will not mean much to many of the younger generations, until it is much later in life. Sporting events in the United States and in other parts of the world are considered as big business and because of this, they draw large amounts of crowds. Many of these spectators are there to support their teams and to simply enjoy a day at the sporting event. The problem is that sports tend to attract gamblers and while that may not necessarily be a problem if the game is being played fairly, it can become a problem if the outcome of these games are being influenced. When interested parties try to sway the way a player performs, it becomes a “fixed” game, which then becomes illegal. This is not just a matter of learning to do the right thing, because the outcome of these games will only communicate to the fans that they have won (or lost) due to dishonesty.
It always amazes me everytime I see these fuel prices take on a roller coaster effect whenever there is some sort of unrest in the middle east. What is even worse however, is the fact that people continue to complain about the gas prices, while they get upset because our government gets involved in the events in the middle east. As though, adding insult to injury, the fireworks begin when we try to drill for oil right here in our own back yard. How dumb can we be that we would expect to get oil at prices that “we want to pay”, from countries that don’t like us in the first place? As we continue to follow the events that are taking place in Libya and in the Middle East, if we hope to maintain our morality, maybe we should consider the fact that we are contributing directly to everything that is happening in that area, due to our demand for more and more fuel.
