If I told you how much I was looking forward to the promised mansion that Jesus Christ has promised His children, I would be hard pressed to do it justice. With everything that is going on in the world today and all the heartache from earthquakes, infectious diseases and health education (or lack thereof) would only increase our desire to quickly go home.
Have you ever made reference to the expression that your home is your castle? As true as this statement may sound, one of the problems with it is the fact that we continually put way too much value on our personal property here on earth, not realizing that our time here is only a stepping stone to what is yet to come.
When I was a child I remember my mother going out of her way to ensure that I grew up with all the respect and dignity of a gentleman. It was not uncommon to hear her tell me about the way I should treat women and thank God I listened. We should be listening to what our parents tell us, regardless of the fact that we are now adults and in the next breath I say that parents are not always right. What is interesting to note is that if we actually listened when they spoke to us we would probably be a whole lot better than we turn out to be.
Most of us make every attempt to do the right thing, staying on the right side of the law, especially when it comes to things that we know will get us in trouble. There is no reason for us to stray from what we know to be the right thing, unless we simply don’t care about the consequences. Through our lifetime we will experience many victories and defeats, but the one that matters the most is the one where we fight of evil temptations.
I have never been to Las Vegas but what I have seen on the television and in the movies has lead me to believe in no uncertain terms that it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Boy was I ever wrong. After looking at all aspects of the equation and looking more closely at the beautiful colors that God has provided for us to enjoy, I will have to honestly say that there is no comparison.
