There is nothing difficult to understand about love, even though many of us have a difficult time dealing with and expressing there true feelings. One thing that we can be certain of, however, is that God’s love for us is there and if we use that as an example, our lives would be so much more fulfilling. Everyone would be moving about their daily activities in a much more relaxed and friendly atmosphere, leaving little or no room for the devil to infiltrate us with his illicit forms of temptation. While it would not be impossible, the likelihood of getting into a fight with your neighbor will be drastically reduced, because everyone will be happy as they express their brotherly love to each other. The crime rate in society is just one of the many factors that indicate that our love for one another is almost non existent today. All you need to do is to turn on the television or open a newspaper to see what sort of barbarians we have living around us. While society has probably not gotten much worse than it used to be back in Bible days, there appears to be a much smaller regard for human life, one that is evident due to the large amounts of suicides and murders that take place almost daily, and that is not even taking into consideration the abortion factor, where hundreds of innocent babies are being murdered daily.

What makes our love for one another that much less obvious is the fact that many of these senseless murders of unborn children are sanctioned by politicians and doctors, who are supposed to be protecting them. I think we have loss the meaning of what love is, with a large section of our neighbors under the impression that love has something to do with sexual relations. Even our love for promiscuous behavior should not be mistaken for love of one another, in fact that sort of feeling is actually lust, which makes us not only loveless, but lustful.
