Appearing in Family Court to face charges such as reckless driving, was a fourteen year old teen from Providence Rhode Island. The juvenile was Involved in a fatal crash that ended up taking the life of nine year old Alexis Silva. Police in Rhode island attempted to make a traffic stop of the teen, when he lost control of the van that he had stolen from Nickerson House Community Center, jumped the median and crashed into a moving mini van which was driven by Stephanie Flynn. The twenty nine year old Stephanie was driving the nine year old, a family friend and her infant daughter. Stephanie was thrown through the car window on impact. The Rhode Island police claim that a pursuit was not in place at the time of the crash.
And now the Lord of Glory was dying, a ransom for the race. In yielding up His precious life, Christ was not upheld by triumphant joy. All was oppressive gloom. It was not the dread of death that weighed upon Him. It was not the pain and ignominy of the cross that caused His inexpressible agony. Christ was the prince of sufferers; but His suffering was from a sense of the malignity of sin, a knowledge that through familiarity with evil, man had become blinded to its enormity. Christ saw how deep is the hold of sin upon the human heart, how few would be willing to break from its power. He knew that without help from God, humanity must perish, and He saw multitudes perishing within reach of abundant help. (EGW – DA 752)
Eventually the root cause of this whole unfortunate scenario will come to light, whether it is found that the teenage juvenile was a runaway, a wayward child or just someone who is misunderstood. Regardless of what comes to light, what we know right now is that another child’s life, who was innocent to everything, was lost. Could this senseless loss of life have been avoided? Sure it could, but we would have to go back in time to the original cause that triggered this chain of events.

I was really worried when both of my roommates told me that they were moving out because one of them had just got engaged and the other was moving because of her job. But luckily, I had two friends who also happened to be looking for a place to live so I didn’t have to worry about getting a smaller apartment to myself or finding some randoms that I don’t know.
When they moved in we found www.wirelessinternetservice.com and decided to switch over to it. We also had to bring all of our furniture together in a way that looks like it was meant to be like that. So we ended up getting rid of some furniture on Craigslist and gave what we couldn’t sell to some guy friends of mine that will take anything for their apartment.
We had an apartment warming party and invited all of our friends. I made some of my famous oatmeal cream pie cookies for the party and we got lots of compliments on our decor My friends who took our leftover furniture even said that it looked very (grown up) .

The people Columbia threw caution to the wind and jumped inside the ring of a bull fight. After the dust had settled, thirty seven people were injured and three died due to the ma-ham that was created by these bulls on a rampage. This annual event that brings bulls and patrons together for what is called “corraleja” usually progresses in a party like atmosphere where alcohol runs freely and obvious lack of any real responsibility is the norm. The Andean community of Sabanalarga was the host location for this annual festival,. One where two men in their forties and a twenty year old man med their demise. With amateur video available, it is easy for others to see the traumatic events that transpired from this unfortunate incident.
The use of intoxicating liquor dethrones reason, and hardens the heart against every pure and holy influence. The inanimate rock will sooner listen to the appeals of truth and justice than will that man whose sensibilities are paralyzed by intemperance. The finer feelings of the heart are not blunted all at once. A gradual change is wrought. Those who venture to enter the forbidden path are gradually demoralized and corrupted. And though in the cities liquor saloons abound, making indulgence easy, and though youth are surrounded by allurements to tempt the appetite, the evil does not often begin with the use of intoxicating liquors. Tea, coffee, and tobacco are artificial stimulants, and their use creates the demand for the stronger stimulus found in alcoholic beverages. And while Christians are asleep, this giant evil of intemperance is gaining strength and making fresh victims. (EGW – ST FEB.11,1886)
The senseless deaths of these three Columbian citizens  could easily been avoided, however, today’s society has chosen to maintain an experience with the evil tools of the underworld. There are many beautiful and fulfilling experiences that we as human beings can look forward to, yet in  the majority of cases we lean towards the darker side of life. Satan uses these tools as a powerful invitation to those of us who are weaker and we fall for it. Hook, line and sinker.

A University of Texas (UT) college student armed with an AK-47 entered the facility with no apparent motive in mind. When students witnessed fellow student Colton Tooley (a sophomore majoring in math) carrying what they believe to have been a loaded AK 47, they immediately sounded the alarm and gave chase. What followed was an well thought out plan, to notify faculty and students through an elaborate notification procedure, through emails, text messages and security personnel. Colton Tooley ended up running upstairs to the sixth floor after being chased where fired off several shots, (without hitting anyone)  before turning the weapon on himself. Those that knew Colton, were surprised and doubted that he could hurt anyone. The campus remained in a state of “lock down”, until it could be determined if there was any other shooters.
I concealed my feelings as well as I could from my husband and the sympathizing family with whom we were. None knew my labor or burden of mind as I united with the family in morning and evening devotion and sought to lay my burden upon the great Burden Bearer. But my petitions came from a heart wrung with anguish, and my prayers were broken and disconnected because of uncontrollable grief. The blood rushed to my brain, frequently causing me to reel and nearly fall. I had the nosebleed often, especially after making an effort to write. I was compelled to lay aside my writing, but could not throw off the burden of anxiety and responsibility upon me. (EGW – 1T 576, 577)
When we experience changes in our personal lives and remain unsure of how to deal with them, some of the actions that we take can be directly attributed to unwanted influences. The average human being is certain that they control everything around them, as far as their lives are concerned. The truth of the matter is that, while we do have a great influence in the things that we do, we are not hardy in control of many of the actions that we end up taking.

Two officers, Kevin Randolph and Paul Bauer, are expected to be charged with assault after the beat a black motorcyclists repeatedly, because he failed to stop when they instructed him to. One of the officers, Kevin Randolph has been terminated because he was still on probation. It appears that Andrew Collins (a motorcyclist) was traveling up the wrong way on a one way street when he was ordered to pull over. His first attempt to stop ended with him revving the motorcycle and speeding off, as though taunting the officers. When he finally gave up and pulled to the side of the road, the officers  ran up to him and began raining blows. At that point Andrew Collins was by no means resisting arrest and was immediately placed in cuffs, after a thrashing.
I have since thought that many inmates of insane asylums were brought there by experiences similar to my own. Their consciences were stricken with a sense of sin, and their trembling faith dared not claim the promised pardon of God. They listened to descriptions of the orthodox hell until it seemed to curdle the very blood in their veins, and burned an impression upon the tablets of their memory. Waking or sleeping, the frightful picture was ever before them until reality became lost in imagination, and they saw only the wreathing flames of a fabulous hell and heard only the shrieking of the doomed. Reason became dethroned, and the brain was filled with the wild fantasy of a terrible dream. Those who teach the doctrine of an eternal hell would do well to look more closely after their authority for so cruel a belief. (EGW – 1T 25)
Even though I am not an officer of the law, nor would I appreciate this sort of reaction from the people that were supposed to protect and serve me, let me suggest here that they may have been antagonized to respond the way that they did. These men were trying to do their jobs and someone who is obviously breaking the law, was making a mockery out of them. Having said that, let me say this, there is no acceptable reason for an officer of the law to “beat down” a citizen, the same one that he is expected to protect, their lack of patience while handling this case, sets a bad example for others to follow.
