Unwillingness of an individual

There are some of us that firmly believe, man “evolved” from some sort of monkey or dinosaur, rather than being created by a God who cares for us. The explanation of evolution was initiated by those who would rather not deal with the fact that there is a responsibility that we all have to lead decent and wholesome lives. It is for that very same reason that there are so many “break-off” religions circulating the globe today. The fact of the matter is that mankind would rather change his beliefs, (as if that would make a difference) than follow the truth that comes straight from the Bible.

In the book of Genesis we read, “God put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. God then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man. The Man said, “Finally! Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh! Name her Woman for she was made from Man.”Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife. They become one flesh. The two of them, the Man and his Wife, were naked, but they felt no shame. “

Because of mankind’s lazy unwillingness to follow what is expected of him, he is willing to take the stance that he knows what is best to follow from the Bible, rather than what he knows to be true. There is little hope for this kind of individual, because regardless of how an individual twists the truth to suit themselves, there is only one truth and that is what the bible states. One of the biggest excuses that I hear in an effort to satisfy our own actions is that the Bible is open to interpretation, which in itself is  a cop-out, because if you really wanted to know, you would find out.

Stay wide awake

How many times have you heard nay sayers telling you that we are wasting our time, or we are following a pipe dream? Probably on more occasions than you care to remember, unfortunately many of our brothers and sisters have fallen into the trap of getting cold, in other words, they have lost their faith. Don’t fall into that same tired old trap, signs of the end are all around us, for those who give up before it gets here, what a sad day it will be for them, so near, and yet so far. Now is the time when we should be wide awake, waiting and watching, while preparing ourselves.

We should not be fighting amongst ourselves now, we should be exhibiting all the love that we can muster. Jesus says that our love for one another is an example for all to follow and it will be our answer towards all of our prayers. When we see others hungry and homeless, we should cheerfully run to assist them, being generous with the gifts that God has given to us. If we were not blessed with finances, we should extend our hospitality, on the other hand if accommodation is not our strong point, offering transportation or just being there to offer a prayer for someone who is suffering will suffice. The kind words that we share should be kind words that God would share.

However we end up helping others, let it be as though it was God that was doing the helping and not us, because when you stop and think about it, it could only be from Him. When God sent his one and only son to save the world, it was his intention that we all benefit from that Savior. Because of the dog-eat-dog mentality of our society today, much of that philosophy has slipped through the cracks. Stop listening to those who have nothing but their own interests at heart, you can easily tell them from the rest. At the very least we have been provided with the tools to make it through until the end, the question is, are we going to use it.

Nothing but Communication

The  Bible is constantly advising us that we should be living well, driving home the fact that the way we live will make a difference and keep our lives together. God is the one who gives us our instructions and he is the one true Shepherd, therefore we should not be listening to anyone else. Look around, publishers are constantly coming out with new books of advise as to how we should be living our lives, when in fact the final word for us should always be from God and we should always do what he tells us.

God’s Holy Spirit is there for and to guide us, it has no plans of flying around us doing absolutely nothing. The Holy Spirit will seek every last iota of communication that God wants us to have and bring it directly to us. We should remember that unless we share our thoughts with others, they have no way of knowing, in the same manner we have no way of knowing what He is thinking either. That is where the Holy Spirit comes in, it shares the much needed information with us. Everything that we are given, in the way of gifts to better ourselves, we will know about, we are not expected to guess about them, neither are we to follow the guidance of men and their books.

All of our Christian education will be forthcoming from God through the Holy Spirit, we should not allow ourselves to be swayed by a book (other than the Bible) or anything that we learn in a school. Jesus Christ came to this earth over two thousand years ago and taught us first hand what is expected of us. There will be many false teachers yet to come, therefore our communication with the one and only should be strong, leaving no room for outside influence, especially the ones that suggest and alternate ending.
