Everyone has a bad day sometimes, actually some of us have the appearance of having bad days almost every time you see them. So if someone “slips up” during the course of performing their duty as an officer of the law. What I have observed in recent times, or maybe it is just being reported more often, but the aggression against our fellow citizens (by these officers) has become more and more prevalent.
Is there absolutely no concern for our fellow man and woman anymore. Where is the decency that used to be oozing from officers in times gone by. There was a time when you could talk to (and be talked to) an officer and actually feel like that protector actually cared about you and doing his job, which by the way was (as I stated) to protect and serve you. Unfortunately such encounters are few and far between, if we experience them at any level.
I used to think that the reaction coming from our protective services was a result of the increased aggression displayed by the offender, but then what causes the offender to act the way that they do? Could it be the lack of emotion now being displayed by parents, schoolteachers and government officials alike, after all we are always taught that we should “do unto others as we would want them to do unto us”. So where does this aggression actually stem from, I have a pretty good idea and I think you do to.
