Everyone has a bad day sometimes, actually some of us have the appearance of having bad days almost every time you see them. So if someone “slips up” during the course of performing their duty as an officer of the law. What I have observed in recent times, or maybe it is just being reported more often, but the aggression against our fellow citizens (by these officers) has become more and more prevalent.

Is there absolutely no concern for our fellow man and woman anymore. Where is the decency that used to be oozing from officers in times gone by. There was a time when you could talk to (and be talked to) an officer and actually feel like that protector actually cared about you and doing his job, which by the way was (as I stated) to protect and serve you. Unfortunately such encounters are few and far between, if we experience them at any level.

I used to think that the reaction coming from our protective services was a result of the increased aggression displayed by the offender, but then what causes the offender to act the way that they do? Could it be the lack of emotion now being displayed by parents, schoolteachers and government officials alike, after all we are always taught that we should “do unto others as we would want them to do unto us”. So where does this aggression actually stem from, I have a pretty good idea and I think you do to.

Without sounding like a broken record, I must reiterate that the use of drugs is a harmful activity that we should all refrain from unless it is for medicinal purposes. Once prescribed, these drugs should be administered in a positive and health conscious manner, one that is not conducive addiction after the fact. Treatments should include before, during and after use of medication which will facilitate a smooth transition and a safe return to normalcy. The use of drugs should be taken seriously, considering the extensive side effects caused to your health and family lifestyles.

While drug use and addiction is a way of life for some, it should be the goal of society to assist others to actually refrain from drug use rather than encourage it. So while I appreciate the fact that the economy is in the toilet, the suggestion that we legalize and tax marijuana is not a positive one for society as a whole. Yes I understand that it will, at the very least, allow for the increased income potential of the states that decide to go this route, however a move such as this will only add Marijuana to the list of already health detrimental mind altering such as Cigarettes and Alcohol.

Yes, Marijuana use should be DE-criminalized because its addiction should be considered as a sickness not breaking the law, just as all other drug use. The answer is not to ensure financial gain, rather train the public that this kind of activity will only hurt them. But then, this measure (legalizing and taxing marijuana) will simply fall in line with others in the past that has used the sinful weaknesses of mankind for profit.

The United States of America happens to be a variation of all walks of life, with its citizens coming from various parts of the world. The only original citizens are the American Indians, who (as history has shown) were actually driven from their homelands to reservations all along the dotted areas of this fair land. As I recall, the American Indians were minding their own business, merely attempting to survive and along came the squatters.

After this country proved its worth, at the expense of the original citizens, it became an opportunity for others to send their aspiring families. With the birth of new opportunities came an influx of immigrants, all of who were welcome, (at that time) due to the fact that America was encouraging settlement for the purpose of populating its vast wasteland. Eventually, however, the American cup was beginning to overflow, so it became necessary for its lawmakers to slow the invitation to “send me your tired and hungry”.

Because of its stand on maintaining an “open border” policy, America is now bursting at the seams, with immigrants filing in from every nook and cranny at their disposal. Because the American economy is tied to most other production services, in some form or fashion, its prospective immigrants see this as a positive opening for themselves and their families. While immigration was necessary in the initial stages of growth, it may now serve to be negative, just consider the food that you eat to sustain yourself, if you eat too much it begins to affect your health in many ways, on the other hand not enough food may cause the opposite reaction.

Most of us are generally protective of the needy, except for the individuals that refuse to acknowledge that embryo’s are actually human, in its early formation stages. If we see someone being abused by another, we tend to get in there and try to, at the very least, level the playing field. We don’t like Bullies, and while there are some of us who are probably easy targets for bullies, most will not tolerate someone trying to extort them for their hard earned lunch money, (consider the school children) or pressure them into following along with something that they are not yet convinced is right.

Considering this fact, I was surprised that that many politicians, turned tail and ran after being bullied by the house speaker and the President of the United States. I was surprised because these individuals that were supposed to leaders of this great nation, simply wimped out under pressure.

What was shocking, (and still is) was the threats that have begun to surface by individuals that either did not get their own way, or did! Now their conscience is bothering them, because they realize that they should have said or done something sooner to stop these atrocities. Yes, what we are witnessing is the destruction of democracy in its most brutal form, and nobody knows what should be done to correct it.
