Be careful what you wish for. It seems as though this administration is intent on starting a conflict with China, based on recent events that have come to light in the news, which in itself is surprising, because of the history of the Democratic party and their unwillingness to go “head to head” with anyone else except the Republicans. I personally think there’s a lack of backbone, but then that is just my opinion, one of many that are out there.

To be fair, this transaction with Taiwan has been in the works since the previous administration, however, the reaction may not have been expected, and may actually be intended to test the Obama administration for weak stops. As I recall a similar play was enforced by China soon after the Bush administration came into power with the (escorting and confining) of a reconnaissance aircraft.

Whether they realize it or not, this is the time for the Obama administration to “cowboy up” and show the Chinese government that this country does not depend on them to survive. Wait a minute, I may be wrong, I think the United States of America does depend on the finances of the Chinese to get us out of the rut that we are in, so we may well have to eat crow anyway!
